We hope those of you who came out to SMT and ARML Local last weekend had a great time! This is a busy week with several important dates coming up, so please read through this update carefully and email us at [email protected] if you have any questions.

First Online Tryout
Our first online tryout will take place this Sunday, April 26, from 4pm to 5pm. The tryout will be posted on registered students’ ContestDojo accounts at 4pm. Please start no later than 4:10pm to ensure you have the full allotted time.
If you haven’t registered yet but still want to participate, email [email protected] ahead of time with the email address associated with your ContestDojo student account, and we can give you guest access.
As a reminder, we have four online tryout opportunities this season (April 26, 28, 30, and May 2), and we encourage anyone interested in elite team selection to complete at least two (or one in addition to ARML Local). Please treat the tryout as you would any contest. The tryout should represent your own work, and you should not use outside resources or calculators.
Registration and Payment Deadline
The deadline to register and pay for ARML is this coming Monday, April 27. In order to reserve your spot on the team, you must complete the Information Sheet and pay the contest fee ($410) on ContestDojo by this date. Please see our website for details.
If you’ve already filled out the Information Sheet but haven’t yet paid, please do so before the deadline. For our planning, the sooner you can get this done, the better.
Parent and Coach Volunteers
If you are a parent or coach who is interested in coming to Reno as a volunteer this year, please fill out the Information Sheet as soon as possible. ARML requires that we finalize our travel roster soon, including volunteers. Parent and coach volunteers will be asked to assist throughout the trip, and will be provided with a dorm room at UNR.
We will soon send out a second form for coaches, parents, and volunteers to fill out in order to commit to joining the trip to Reno.
T-Shirt Designs
A reminder that t-shirt designs are due by April 30. We’ll put submitted designs to a vote in early May. Designs must be in a vector-graphics format (.svg or .ai), and there’s a four-color ink limit between the front and back. See this post for the full set of rules.
If you’d like help with your design, send it in soon so we have time to give feedback before the deadline.
Sacramento / Davis
