Dear ARML Team,
We have a busy weekend ahead! Here’s what’s coming up.
Last Tryout – Saturday
Our fourth and final online tryout will take place tomorrow (Saturday, May 2), 11am-noon. The tryout will be posted on registered students’ ContestDojo accounts at 11am. Please start no later than 11:10am to ensure you have the full allotted time. If you need guest access, email [email protected] ahead of time with the email address associated with your ContestDojo student account. This is the last tryout opportunity before elite teams are announced at Sunday’s Bay Area practice!
Sacramento Practice – Saturday
Sacramento area students: as usual, there is a practice tomorrow (Saturday, May 2), noon-3pm, at UC Davis, Shields Library room 162. See our Sacramento / Davis page for more information.
First Bay Area Practice – Sunday
Our first Bay Area practice will take place this Sunday (May 3), noon-5pm, at Bliss and Wisdom Foundation in San Jose. At this first practice, we will introduce the coaches, announce this year’s elite teams, introduce each of the ARML rounds, and practice in teams.
ARML is a team event, and it’s important that everyone come to practice if possible in order to work in teams. If you have a schedule conflict with part of practice, it’s ok to attend whatever portion that you’re available. If you’re unable to attend, please fill out our Practice Absence Form and provide a (good) reason. Practice attendance is a factor in both elite team placement and selection of alternates; see the Policies for more information.
If you are not joining the team on the trip to Reno this year, you’re still welcome to come to practice – just make sure to check in with a coach when you arrive so we can tell you which team to practice with. If you’re in the Sacramento / Davis area, you’re not required or expected to come to Bay Area practices; instead, please attend the practice at UC Davis.
Coming Up Next Week
We’ll be in touch next week with information about transportation and logistics for the trip to Reno.
Looking forward to seeing many of you this weekend!
